8.07.05 Public Run

Today the Hudson is on the steaming bay getting a wipe down by Marcel Uhrich as Bill Bodemer watches and Karl Losely checks over the engine while the engines' steam pressure is rising.
Marcel continues with the wipe down as the engine quietly slumbers enjoying the attention she is receiving. 3463 looks as though she has just come from being outshopped.
The Hudson shines so much you can see the reflection of Karls shirt. Steam pressure is still rising and its almost time for the Public Run today.
Bob Beardslee(standing)talks to Roger Harnish with Robbi Haines, unidentified rider and Dave Harnish on the train behind him. George Woodling brought his trolley along today.
Ted Nyland with his interurban departing the station. R.C. Yedlicka, our faithful passenger counter for our public runs, watches as the trains are loaded.
Dave Schweitzer with his yellow Plymouth switcher and Bob on the GP38 wait for Roy Harris, in red hat, to load their trains. Roy giving the passengers instructions for the ride.
Bob, who is a steamer, is all loaded and ready to depart with Don Speidel as conductor. George is running Don's Conrail switcher today with George Davidson as conductor.

Dave is all loaded and starting down the main line. Scott gives a enthusiastic wave before the train pulls out.

Cindy with grandaughter sitting in front of our conductor Jerry Bell. The public waited in line patiently on this beautiful day as Dick Clark moves up in line from letting off his passengers.
Frank Foti has the smokebox door open on his engine for cleaning the flues and is talking to Jim Arcaro. George Metts taking his train for a ride.
Dave Foster on his speeder with Logan, Anthony and Amy making one of the last runs. About a dozen passengers wait for the trains to come into the station.

RC watches as Karls last passengers of the public run dis-embark from his train. Karl at the throttle with Roger Harnish, Josh and Skip Frank behind him are about to go for a ride in the woods.

The Hudson after the run, what happened to the shine? Bill Deptowicz on Dicks' SW1500 coming in behind Orchard Yard.
