Super Star Party Public Run - 8/09/14


Today we have a night run in conjunction with the park for the Super Star Party and Dick Clark has just come back from his first run with Jen Zorko assisting the unloading. Evening darkness just starts to settle in as John Deptowicz with the Snoopy train departs the station.
Ken Brooks is next to leave the station with his passengers and gives a wave to the photographer. Ron Malinowski's train has been loaded by Greg Guy and Ron advances the throttle to start his first run.
Dick departs with his next load of passengers as John and Ethan Deptowicz watch his train slowly gain speed. John with the Snoopy train and his passengers heads out for his next run.
With a full load of passengers Ken advances the throttle as his steeple cab slowly gains speed. Having just passed over Cider Bridge, Paul Emch heads for Festival Bridge and soon will be rolling into Shriver Station.
Richard Sales as he passes over Festival Bridge headed towards the station as some of his passengers wave to the photographer. Rick Nagy has just passed over Cider Bridge with a trainload of passengers and that's Dave Woldman as his conductor on the rear.
Ron with his passengers, emerges from the Covered Bridge as he heads toward Zip Junction. Ray Dellmore, sitting on the bench, is our train watcher tonight as Paul passes by in front of him.
Richard with his train has just passed through High Creek and is on his way towards Horrendous. A few minutes later Paul Zorko emerges from the darkness after passing through High Creek as he heads towards Horrendous.
Ken passing through Horrendous westbound as he emerged from the darkness with his train, is headed for Filmor. Back at the station Greg loads Paul's train for his next run as Rick talks to Greg.
Harry Tabor pulls into Shriver Station with his passengers as he slowly moves up to the unloading area. Bill Besselmen watches the train loading and is our passenger counter tonight as we have to have a headcount for the Park.
Greg talks to the waiting riders as Paul advances the throttle on his engine starting his next run. Harry listens to what Ken is saying to his passengers as Greg decides how many more riders he can add to the train.
The Snoopy train is down for the count as the potentiometer on the speed control burnout, so he will be out of the running for the rest of the evening as Paul waits for his train to be loaded. Paul leaving the station with his loaded train.
The GP38 as viewed from the steaming bays as it passed by on its next run with Harry as engineer. With Ken's train loaded, he departs the station as other members gathered by the fire pit.
A time exposure picture of Paul Zorko as he waits to be loaded at the station. Richard Sales has pulled up alongside of Paul and the scene is illuminated only by the station lights and a single bulb overhead of the loading area.
Another view as Greg gives the riders that were loaded on Paul's train their riding instructions. Illuminated by the flash on the camera we can see the activity as Richard's train is loaded at the station.
Dick Clark is passing by the photographer as Ken in the background talks to Greg about loading his train. Ron Malinowski is now at the controls of the GP38 as he leaves the station with Dave Woldman as his conductor.
Dick arriving back at the station with Jen Zorko waiting to assist with the unloading of the passengers. This young lad looks like he's crawling onto the car but is actually swinging his leg over to get off the straddle car in front of the station.
Ken's passengers at the end of the run unloading from his train as Jen overseas the activity. Ken has pulled up to the loading area to take on passengers for his next run.
Ron has arrived back at the station with the GP38 and his passengers have started to unload from the train in this time shot. Richard waits to be loaded as Ron starts the train rolling down the track on his next run.
Passengers have settled in and have been given their riding instructions from Greg as the train starts its next run. The last of the passengers board Dick Clark's train leaving the station as Jann Glove from the Park system overseas the departure.
