Public Run - "Super Star Party" -8/10/13


Superstar Party is in conjunction with the Park celebration and one of the few night runs that we have for the public. Scott Hewis leaving the station with a trainload of passengers on his first run with Dick Clark on his train waiting to be loaded. As Dick's train is being loaded by Roberta Uhrich, Rick Nagy pulled up into loading position.
A smiling John Koontz is the conductor for Dick's train as it leaves the station. As Roberta finishes loading passengers on Rick's train, Bill Besselman who is our passenger counter for this evening talks with two of the riders.
John Deptowicz with his ever popular Snoopy train is just about to depart the station with the Snoopy theme song playing from a speaker in the engine and that's Marty Pinkston, with the electric box cab waiting for passengers to be loaded. Marty just starting to roll out of the station with his train and passengers.
George Metts is greeting passengers and helping them depart the train after Skip Frank just rolled to a stop in front of the station with his Columbia steam engine. Next coming into the station is Richard Sales with his electric powered unit that he scratch built.
Paul Zorko with his SW9 Fireball Express rolls into the station at the end of his run and will soon discharge his passengers. John coming to the station on mainline track 2 into the unloading area with his Snoopy train.
Scott with his trainload of passengers behind the station as he nears the end of his run as he slows his train for traffic ahead. Rick with the GP38 as he passes through Pandora after coming off the Big Bend bridge with Frank Smoley as his conductor at the rear.
Skip Frank with his engine "Lynn" after crossing over Big Bend bridge as he heads towards Pandora and the Covered Bridge with his passengers. Paul with another load of passengers as he exits the Covered Bridge heading towards Zip Junction.
John with his Snoopy train exits the covered bridge and will start the slight grade up to Zip Junction with his passengers. From the other side of the track I caught Marty as he exits the Covered Bridge and gives a wave as he approaches the photographer.
Ken Vendlinger emerges from passing through the Truss Bridge as he heads towards Mackey's Run with his 2 passengers. Next to come along was Dick with his SW1500 as he heads towards Mackey's Run and the Big Bend bridge.
From the Parks footpath trail alongside of Mackey's run I caught Rick rumbling over the the Park Access Road grade crossing with his trainload of passengers. Another photo taken from the footpath this time of Marty with his train on the Big Bend bridge.
Near the same location, Scott passes by on Big Bend bridge with his trainload of passengers heading towards Pandora. Next in this distant shot was Kenny to come by with his Reading electric powered locomotive.
Dick Clark with his train approaches mid span of the Big Bend bridge as he appears out of the darkness. A closer view of Paul near mid span, rumbling over the Big Bend bridge with his passengers will soon pass through Pandora, heading westbound.
John with the Snoopy train as he passes over the Big Bend bridge in the darkness of night will shortly be at mid span as he heads towards Pandora and points West. Bill Deptowicz coming in the station with the Snoopy train giving his son John a break from running so he can stretch his legs.
Noah Rolfes, Matthew Battaglia, Sam Imhoff, Vince Mobily and Logan Tapolyia come back into the station on the Snoopy train and that's Pam Znidar assisting with unloading passengers in the background. Mike Harkleroad arrives at the station with his train at the end of the run with Dave Woldman as his conductor.
Amy Deptowicz with her son Ethan were onboard Mike's train and they depart the train at the station. Snoopy heads out with a few more passengers with John as engineer again as we near the end of tonights run with a few trains for the passengers still in line.
Mike's train has been loaded again and he just advances the throttle and puts the big engine in forward motion for the start of this run. The run is officially over as the trains gather at the station and Mike Uhrich, Bill Besselman and Roberta Uhrich in conversation over the amount of passenger rides given tonight.
The trains sitting empty as they stacked up at the station, coming back from the end of their run. Paul Emch running the Fireball Express comes back into the station with the last load of public passengers tonight as Paul, Rick and Richard watch the activity.
Frank Smoley, Rex Shriver, Kitty Shriver, Pam Znidar and Richard Sales in front of the station at the end of the run. Ken Brooks talking with Kitty in front of the station as Paul starts to head for the train barn because we have a public run tomorrow.
Richard heading out with his radio controlled cab unit for another run in the darkness of the woods. Bill, Paul and Amy standing at the station as Kenny prepares to head out with Sam and Logan as his trainload with John and the Snoopy train behind them.
Kenny has departed with his train and John is about to with Noah, Vince, Ethan and Matthew on the Snoopy train. Jennifer Legan and Rick Nagy standing in front of the station, could you say she's all aglow?
