Public Run: Super Star Party - 8/13/2011

Before the start of the run, Dick Clark checks over his air brake hosing between two of his passenger cars. The activity in the steaming bays as the engines raise steam before the run.
Yep, just as I suspected, that doofickie does go round and round as Skip Frank looks over his engine. Kitty Shriver arriving for "work" amid the activity of making up the trains for the run as Mike Harkelroad moves his train off the main into a siding.
When Frank Foti asked Karl Losely for a draft, he promptly obliged with help from his leaf blower but I think Frank really wanted a beer...just kidding. Rex Shriver departing the station with his first passengers for the evening, with Kitty sitting with her back against the station as passenger counter.
Ken Vendlinger with his little Reading switcher and passengers, waves to the photographer as he departs the station. Skip adds water to his tender while Karl Losely loads his passengers as Skip's grandson, Josh, looks on.
Frank Foti with East Wind leaves the station with his light load of passengers at the beginning of this night run. Dick as engineer of the SW1500 departs the station with a load of smiling passengers.
In the background, John Deptowicz works on the headlight of the Snoopy train while Skip adds coal to the tender of Lynn. Didn't use a flash for this picture as Skip tends to his engine and Rex pulls up to the loading area for passengers.
Rex has his passengers loaded and heads out towards the main line. Skip passes by in front of the steaming bays with his next passenger load.
Ken Brooks opens the throttle and starts his train moving down the main line for his next run with Ted in the background checking the lights on his interurban. Dick with his train and Judy Oscker as conductor have just passed through the Covered Bridge on their way to Zip Junction.
Ken after passing through the Covered Bridge heads for Zip Junction, Horrendous and points west. Skip rumbles over the Truss Bridge and will next pass by Mackey's Run on his way to the Big Bend Bridge.
Jeff Ridler, having just passed through Fern will soon be passing over Bridge No. 5 which is the Truss Bridge. Ken coming down the grade from Gulch as he rolls over Bridge No. 6 on his way to Fern.
Frank with East Wind coasting down the grade with John Koontz as conductor, will soon pass through Fern on his way to the Truss Bridge. Kitty at the controls of the switcher giving Rex a break so he can get a cup of coffee.
John and Snoopy at Hilde Hill as he coasts down the grade from Hilton and past Gulch. Rick Nagy with the GP38 at High Creek next bound for Horrendous with his passengers.
John at the Park access road with the Snoopy train is just a short ways out from the station. Back at the station we see the action of the departing trains with East Wind on the siding track.
A time shot of the activity of the station in the darkness that surrounds us. Skip adds oil to his lubricator before departing the station with his next load of passengers who are being instructed by Kitty before their ride.
Amy Deptowicz is all smiles and enjoying the evening as she watches over the youngsters to keep them off the track. Frank, East Wind and another load of passengers eager for the experience of riding a steam train through the dark forest.
While standing at the station I thought I saw an apparition of a Nickel Plate caboose pass by. That was no apparition that was the photographer, Bill Deptowicz's, scratch-built NKP wooden caboose.
Kitty finishes loading the passengers on Dick's train before his next run. Kenny looks down at his controls while advancing the throttle to leave the station with this run as Jeff behind him pulls up to load passengers.
Mike got off the camel back steam engine and is now running the Park engine and smiles at the photographer as he gets ready to leave the station. A time shot which clearly shows how we change the lights in the station to red for atmosphere with East Wind's headlight clearly illuminating the trackage ahead and Ted's interurban is to the left.
A timed exposure gives a different view point with an engine that just moved up and its headlamp showing as a white streak of light. Trish Koontz and Dave Foster watching the trains come into the station with Ray Delmore as conductor on the train just getting ready to depart.
Bill Deptowicz brings the Snoopy train into the station where his passengers will unload. Dick's train just pulled in and unloaded and as the train moves up for more passengers, we see Judy who has been his conductor for the evening.
