8.15.09 Super Star Party

As we were getting the riding cars out of the car storage barn I spied this walking stick on the side of the building. The covered bridge with it's shingles on this side of the roof only.
Frank Foti taking the first trainload of passengers for the Super Star Party night run in conjunction with the Park's star gazers event. Richard Sales crossing over to the mainline with his passengers.
Rick Nagy behind the club's GP38 as darkness is starting to settle in for the night run. Skip Frank with his steam engine takes on water in the tender as Ken Vendlinger with his electric powered engine starts his run.
With the cylinder cocks open to vent the moisture Skip is picking up speed as he leaves the staton loading area. Mike Harkleroad blasts out of the covered bridge with a trainload of passengers as he starts the grade up from the bridge.
Ken with his Reading switcher waves to the camera man as he clears the bridge which had battery powered lights overhead. Skip with his engine "Lynn" as he passes through the bridge on the way to Zip Junction.
Richard with his Hogwarts Express is starting the grade at Mackeys Run on his way to Big Bend Bridge. Darkness envelopes the track except for the camera man's flash as Rick passes thru Truss Bridge.
Rex Shriver rumbles over the wooden deck of the bridge with his trainload of passengers. Mike at Zip Junction with Steve Zaken as his conductor are about to cross the road crossing for the Park access road.
A telephoto shot of the station and the trains pulling up to load passengers. Some of the members and guests sitting on the tie wall in front of the station watching the trains come in to unload.
Some of the activity at the station as the group waits for more trains to come in to the station. Roger Harnish loads passengers on Marty Pinkstons train as Brian Pettit watches.
Karl coasts into the station at the end of his run with the Hudson with the firebox ash pan glowing. Mike throttles back as he gauges his stopping point at the unloading area and the trains ahead.
Frank, with Bob Bassett as conductor brings his load of passengers back to the station. Rick with a light on his cap so he can see the gauges for the engine brings the train to a gentle stop.
Pam Znidar, with back to camera, talks with Roberta Uhrich as Rick waits for the trains ahead to load. Some of the waiting riders in line as the trains are loaded.
No that's not Rudolph but the crossing light blinking behind Kitty Shriver as she talks with a rider as Bob listens. Robbi Haines, in light blue blouse, talks with the riders between loading the trains.
Pam is all smiles, I guess we didn't work her hard enough tonight as she was overseeing the unloading of the trains as they came back in to the station. A happy group of members and friends.
Frank taking "East Wind" and passengers down the main as the end of the line is near. Skip checks the fire in his engine as he waits for Roger to finish loading his train.
Karl pulling up after unloading his train and the evening activities are coming to a close. Austin Tapolyai, Peti Tapolyai, Amy, John and Ethan Deptowicz ride behind Logan Tapolyai on the Snoopy train.
