Today was a extra work session on Thursday to paint the shed and I found the guys had added two skylights in the roof. A view thru the building showing the end siding panels still need to be installed. |
The east end of the building is still in need of some panels. Dave Foster kicking out the excess stone at the base so we could put a board at the bottom for overspray. |
Dave waiting as George Davidson moves the ladder and George Metts digs some narrow cut-off panels out of the pile. We have the end to finish paneling. |
George is nailing the drip strip between panels before we put up the lower ones. George is cutting the panel on a diagonal to fit the slope of the roof at this end of the building. |
We got the rest of the panels at this end in place while george D. and Dave worked at the other end. George cutting a narrow section that is needed over the man door at the other end. |
Dave loosening up the drip strip so we can slide the lower panel up under it. George climbed up into the end trusses to nail backer strips through the siding. |
Lew Fowler handed the material up to George who then nailed it in place. When we went to the station for a work break I found Edith Hacker diligently painting the back of the station. |
I think I'm being warned off with the camera, she looks dangerous with that roller. Dave Foster is using an airless paint sprayer to apply paint to the wall panels. |
George and Lew watch as Dave paints the upper section toward the peak. Dave spraying the side wall just before I took over because we are in need of more paint which Dave is going to go out and buy. |
The painting is all done with the primer coat and it looks pretty good. While waiting I checked into what Dick Clark was doing and found him setting out signs about the track. |
Dick showed me what the Wednesday track crew got accomplished yesterday with the new culverts at High Creek to elimate a blockage problem with debris during heavy rain. The crew reworked the track to the turntable. |
WHAT'S THIS????????? EASTWIND!!!! Must be a bad section of track that Eastwind won't or just can't stay on the track and Dick put the sign up as a warning for Frank to go slow thru here. Yah, think? |
