Blueberry Railroad

Robbi Haines helping to get one of the Snoopy train cars onto the transfer table. The Snoopy train is dwarfed on the gigantic sissor lift transfer table that Marcel Uhrich and Karl Losely built and installed complete with speeder wheels running on real rail.
Dick Clark about to start a run with John Knootz and his wife Trish as Edith Hacker walks away. A view of the two track trestle leading to the loading/unloading area.
This view shows well the difference in grade elevation they had to overcome. John Deptowicz connecting the safety chains and power connections on the Snoopy train as Ted Nyland waits to load his interurban back in his van.
A view of the steaming bays adjacent to Marcels workshop. Amy Deptowicz with Ethan in her arms and Austin Tapolyai with Ted in the background.
Dick Dute, a member of NEOLS, brought his shay up to Blueberry Railroad and had it under steam. Dick's 2 spot shay is a great looking engine and captures the charm of the Shays.
A view looking across the top decking of the trestle leading to the track "layout". The activity at the first turning wye which is about a hundred feet off the trestle with engines at left using the wye and engine to the right heading for the main line.
Austin Tapolyai and Amy about a third of the way down the straight-a-way. Marcel's work crew feverishly laid track down and ballasted it for this run which has over a 800 foot 2 track straight-a-way.
At the end of the straight-a-way you enter another turning wye to the right. The end of one leg of the wye showing how they laid the track panels on the ground, joined them and ballasted them. After this run they will have the time to straighten and level the track.
Back at the first wye the groups were waiting for the trains to come back so they could load up for a ride. A view of the first turning wye that the riders were waiting off to the left hand side of the picture.
Mike Uhrich, with Malena Loyd, unidentified party, Anna Cortes, Rowan Kramer and Frank Foti going for a ride. The track crew did a great job with the elevated trestle.
They used bar joist trusses to span the trench and suported them with concrete piers. Dick's Shay up on the trestle waiting for Dick to crack the throttle open and ride the "high iron".
Dave and Sandi Foster on their speeders talk to Bob Beardslee as they wait for the sissor lift to become available. Dick Clark taking some passengers for a ride as they pass the Blueberry RR homebuilt ballast car sitting on a siding with the generator car.
Activity on the siding for Rex's train and Mike's box cab engine with two gons. Richard Sales will pass this switch and back around to the Snoopy train to turn his train on the wye.
Kitty taking Rex's control car for a walk to turn it for loading back in to the van. Logan Tapolyai at the controls of the Snoopy train after having taken the switch from the wye to get on the main.
Mike's train backing through the wye to turn the train at the far end of the track. This is a good view of the straight-a-way looking back to the start as I'm about to pass Karl Losely on the Hudson.
As the engine switches over to the single track leading to the wye you can see the two tracks just lieing on the ground without ballast yet. Guess whose legs these belong to..something we don't often see of this guy.
Bill Deptowicz with Dick's SW1500 and passengers heading for the turning wye. Those legs belong to none other than Frank Foti shown here with his friend Anna Cortes.
Ethan walks the trestle as Amy holds the transistion plate for John operating the powered transfer table. Robbi is helping Roger Harnish to move his engine to the transfer table as we bid them farewell.
