8.16.09 Public Run


Paul Emch's train loaded with passengers and Bob Bassett is his conductor for this trip. Ken Brooks leaving the station with Joe Banzer as conductor with a full trainload of riders.
Dave Foster on his scratch-built speeders and is starting down the main line. Don Speidel looks down the track as Bob Beardslee opens the throttle on his steamer and Ted Nyland with his interurbans moves up to load passengers.
Wally Pausch waits for Robbi Haines to finish loading Dick Clark's train and that is Lou DeLembo as conductor at the rear. On the Orchard Loop behind the station Josh Frank and Logan Tapolyai ride behind Ethan Deptowicz, the engineer, on George Mett's circus train.
Ken passing thru the covered bridge, that is under construction, with Joe Banzer at the rear. Scott Hewis rumbles thru the covered bridge with the Park engine on his way to Zip Junction.
Skip Frank with his steamer has just passed Paul at Zip Junction as he heads for Cider Bridge. Rick Nagy with the GP38 passes Rex Shriver at Zip Junction as he heads for the station.
Ken is about to cross Cider Bridge as he heads for the station passing thru Zip Junction. Bob just coming off the covered bridge will soon be passing thru Zip Junction and Horrendous.
A smiling Ken Vendlinger waves to the photographer as he passes over the crossing at Filmor for the Branch Line. A few minutes later and Dick coasts down the grade passing through Filmor.
Mike Uhrich coming into view, running a few minutes behind Dick, as he approaches Filmor. Tom Pappas just passed the water tower at the end of Horrendous and slows his speed for the grade down to Patty's Rock Bridge.
John Deptowicz running his Snoopy train just passed thru Horrendous. Wally throttles back at he starts the down hill grade from Horrendous to Patty's Rock Bridge where he will start climbing the grade to Gulch.
Rex Shriver passes over the grade crossing for the Park access road as he approaches Drudgery. Mike Harkleroad giving Bob a break as he runs the Pennsy switcher and has just started his run.
Ken with his passengers at the beginning of another run. Mike pulling into the station with his passengers as he coasts to a stop.
Rex waits for the trains ahead of him to load with passengers. Paul Emch just got off Festival Bridge on his way into the station as he nears the end of this trip.
A telephoto shot of Dick Clark thru the trees as he passes thru Zip Junction. Activity at the station as the trains come in to unload their passengers.
The trains are bunching up at the unloading area in front of the station. Robbi has finished loading Tom's train and he heads off down the main line and Dick's train will load next.
The passengers are loading with the great expectaton of a train ride. Bill Deptowicz relinguished his camera to his son John as he took over the controls of the Snoopy train to give John a break.
Dick's train all loaded and pulling away from the station with another load of "youngsters". Lou DeLembo is the conductor for Dick's train as the engine pulls it's load gaining speed as it heads down the main line.
As the Snoopy train leaves the station the engineer answers a question about the engine. Dave passing the Hudson with his train as Karl Losely adds water to the tender before his next run.
Even though Karl's train is loaded the tender still has to be topped off with water and Rex moves up to load his train. One of the volunteers brought this hawk down to the loading area.
Ted Nyland on the main behind the station as he watches the traffic ahead at the unloading area. Bill and Dick bring in their trains on adjacent tracks to unload and Marie Nyland is sitting on the grade wall behind us.
