Work session - 8/18/10

Steve Zaken is cutting the grass on the inclined area in front of the station. Meanwhile George Raby was on the riding mower cutting the grass behind the station.
Mark Ross was doing maintainance on changing the plug for our power to the car lift. Edith Hacker was cleaning up the ashes from under the steaming bays and areas around where they were dumped.
Wally Pausch dumping ballast along the track to dress it up where it had settled after Dick Clark leveled the track again. Bill Deptowicz lifting a five gallon pail of ballast stone from the work train.
Frank Foti backing the train up to take the work train to the ballast pile for another load of ballast as Joe Banzer takes a break. After dumping more ballast on the track Joe sweeps off the excess ballast from the top of the ties.
Dick and Frank take a breather from leveling the track as do the rest of us. Dick checking the track for being level and tamping the stone between the ties before we come by with the big tamping rods to do the job.
Looking back up the Branch line at the track that was leveled and re-ballasted from High Creek. With all the stone dumped from the train it's time to head back to the station because it's almost dinner time.
