George Metts coming up the hill and approaching Gulch on the required test run before the Public Run today. George Davidson is enjoying the two-way running before the run using the signals.
At the station it must be close to the start of the run as the riders are at the banners by the track. On the siding George's engine No. 7 rests before the passengers start riding the train.
At the West end of the station Skip's "Lynn" waits to pull ahead and load passengers when it's her turn. Dave Foster with his speeders takes the first load of passengers that Roy Harris has loaded on his car.
Frank Foti starting his run as the safety is lifting and venting the excess steam in EastWind. Rex Shriver with Linda Harris as conductor waiting to load as Rick Nagy with John Deptowicz as his conductor make their first run.
With the train loaded, Rex waits for the "All Aboard" call before he moves his train. Skip waits as Roy adjusts the seat position to load his train with the eager passengers.
Marty Pinkston with his scratch-built cab is about to leave the station with his passengers. Bill Bodemer at the station keeping count of the passengers as they load the trains.
Rick with the GP38 leaving the station as Roy instructs the passengers on Dave's speeders. Karl with the Hudson waiting as Robbi Haines and Roy load his train.
A picture of mixed emotions, one of apprehension for the little guy and his Mom looking pleased and that's Roger Harnish as conductor. George Woodling coming into the station with his charge of passengers with Lew Fowler as conductor.
Richard Sales with his scratch-built engine with a trainload of passengers leaving the station. George at the controls of Dick Clark's train this time so Dick can straighten out and stretch his knees for a couple of runs.
Jerry Bell at left and there's Dick Mackey as conductor sitting in front of the cattle car that has sound and probably wondering if the cows will ever shut up. Jerry's train is loaded and leaving.
Bob Beardslee moves his steamer up to load as Paul Emch is just starting to move his train down the main. Bill watches the passengers load as Rick waits for Roy to finish with the riding instructions to the passengers on the train.
Skip with his steam train pauses to load as Marty is about to start the ride on the adjacent track. A view of the activity at the station loading area from the steaming bays.
A friend of Paul Emch, Dave Vinci from Michigan, came down to visit him and entertained us by playing the banjo at the loading area. Don Speidel sitting crosswise on his train waits for Rick to leave the station with his passengers.
With Don's train all loaded he leaves the station. With this overhead shot Dave has pulled up for passengers and Karl Losely with the Hudson waits to be loaded.
The smoke box door on the front of Frank's Pacific as they wait to load. Skip's "Lynn" a Columbia type engine with a view of it's smoke box door while waiting at the station.
Marty with a full load and Skip behind him with Frank at the unloading area. Josh Frank at Horrendous after the run with hand powered riding car via an eccentric on a chain sprocket. You'll get your exercise!
Riding on a adjacent track at Bruce I found these fungi growing between the ties. One of the tree stump roots must be beneath the rails as this overall picture suggests.
