Public Run - 8/28/2011


Before the start of the public run, the Snoopy train was pressed into service to give rides to guests of the members. John Deptowicz with his Snoopy train is about to take another load of guests around the track for a ride.
Mom's ready to ride, but is the little one ready to let go of Grandma's hand? Wayne Boron with his grandsons astride the Snoopy train patiently waiting for Snoopy to depart the station.
Whenever there's a baby in the crowd, Robbi Haines is more than happy to hold them for a while. It's one o'clock and Rick Nagy is departing the station with the first load of passengers for the public run.
Paul Zorko with the Park engine leaving the station with a load of happy passengers and Lew Fowler as conductor. Richard Sales with his electric-powered cab unit and his unique laidback engineer's car as he leaves the station.
Paul, having just passed through Horrendous is about to take the crossing to the Park access road and then on through Zip Junction. Coming in from the opposite direction of the Covered Bridge is Ken Brooks with his trainload of passengers and Linda Harris as conductor.
Dick Clark with his train at Mackey's Run and Judy Oscker as conductor will soon be rumbling over Big Bend Bridge. Frank Foti at the controls of East Wind, with a whispy exhaust, as he approaches Big Bend Bridge.
Joe Vasko with his Chessie System engine about to pass through Shoe and the Covered Bridge. Paul after coming off the Big Bend Bridge is passing through Pandora with his passengers and with Lew at the rear as conductor.
A very relaxed Frank on the back side of the station nearing the end of his run with East Wind hardly making any smoke and the firebox glowing. Passengers arriving back at the station take the opportunity to take pictures as Pam Znidar facilitates the unloading of the train.
Joe at the start of his run in front of the steaming bays as he heads out on the Main Line. Dick and his passengers as he pulls away from the station will soon take the switch and merge onto the Main Line.
Rex Shriver, his engine covered for the possible rain that has been predicted, is all smiles as he leaves the station with his riders. Rick waits for Roy Harris (in the orange shirt) to finish loading his train and Lou DeLembo as conductor waits patiently for the start of the ride.
Ken glides into the station with a full load of passengers at the end of another successful run with Linda as conductor. Skip Frank with his circus train powered by his Columbia coal-fired engine named "Lynn" on the back side of the station is nearing the end of his run.
Joe at Pandora will soon pass through Shoe and the Covered Bridge. Tom Ridler with his electric-powered engine at Pandora heading for Shoe and points West.
Paul about to enter the Covered Bridge in this framed shot between the tree and the entrance to the bridge. Ken with his SW6 comes out of the Covered Bridge and takes the slight grade up to Zip Junction.
Skip on the grade just out of the Covered Bridge with Lynn's safety lifted and blowing off excess steam as he heads for Zip Junction. Dick framed by the timbers inside the Covered Bridge as he passes through on his way to Zip Junction.
Back at the station, Rick is departing with another full load of passengers with Bill Besselman standing just to the left side of the train is our passenger counter today. Skip's all loaded and his train begins to move out on the Main Line for his next trip.
Scott Hewis just coming off the Festival Bridge will soon be on the curve behind the station as he nears the end of his run. Paul Emch just about to go through the Covered Bridge with his trainload of passengers.
Paul exiting the Covered Bridge and heading points West through Zip Junction and Horrendous. Rex nearing the end of his run passes through the crossing of Zip Junction and the Short Line as he heads back to the station.
Joe on the Park access road crossing is about to pass through Horrendous and the sun is peeping out of the clouds through the trees. The activity back at the station with Bill still counting passengers and Roy loading the trains as Frank and East Wind wait for their passengers to board.
Dave Mroczynski on the Orchard Oval Track behind the station tests out his new engine he's been building. Paul about to leave the station as Roy gives instructions to the passengers and Bonnie Zaken is his conductor for this run.
Ken at the end of a run watching as Pam helps his passengers disembark from their ride. After the run, family and friends enjoy the two-way running of our track with Steve Zaken performing conductor duty on this train.
