Public Run - 9/07/14

Carley Guy at the controls of the GP38 as she crosses over the Park Access Road eastbound back towards the station with her dad Greg sitting behind her. Between Skip Frank's engine "Lynn" up on a steaming bay and Frank Foti with his Pacific "East Wind", they're both making a lot of smoke.
Arriving back at the station Marcel Uhrich shows the tender to his son as Frank watches and John Koontz brings the Park engine into the station. Dick Clark departs the station with his SW1500 and his first load of passengers with Dave Hird as his conductor.
John waits for Greg Guy to finish giving riding instructions to the passengers before he puts the big engine into motion as Frank with East Wind waits to pull up to the loading area. Here Frank is asking East Wind what he's all steamed up about.
Greg has loaded his train and Frank eases the throttle with cylinder cocks open and the whistleblowing as East Wind takes up the load. Harry Tabor running the GP 38 has a full load of passengers on the train with Logan Tapolyai as his conductor.
Caught John Deptowicz with his ever popular Snoopy train departing the station with his charge of passengers. Ted Nyland with his pair of interurban's will soon be motoring down the track as soon as Greg finishes riding instructions to Ted's passengers.
Rick Nagy watches the photographer as Ken Brooks with the steeple cab gets ready to start his run. Frank leaving Shriver Station with his next load of passengers and East Wind is hardly making any smoke.
Frank Smoley as he passes by on the mainline across from the water tower by the steaming bays. Harry passing through Horrendous with the big GP38 will soon be rolling over the grade crossing for the Park Access Road on his way back towards the station.
In this view I caught Frank as he comes off the Truss Bridge as he heads for Mackey's Run and the Big Bend Bridge. Next to cross the bridge was Skip Frank with his Columbia type steam engine named Lynn.
With the truss beam of the bridge in the foreground, Paul Emch with his NKP Pacific engine just starts over the Truss Bridge with his passengers. Frank after coasting down the grade from Hilton has just passed over Bridge Number 6 as he heads for Fern and the Truss Bridge.
A few minutes later Harry came down the same grade with Logan his conductor watching over the riders as the train heads for Fern. Coming down the grade by Hilde Hill it is John with the Snoopy train, but don't worry, Snoopy isn't really driving.
Having just coasted past Gulch, Ted with his interurbans continues on down the grade towards Hilde Hill. Next to come by at the same location was Ken with his steeple cab as his passengers wave to the photographer.
Next to come down the long grade was this young man named Don Speidel with his SW9 detailed out for the New York Central Railroad. Higher up the grade I caught Frank all smiles as he heads for Gulch as he coasts down the grade with his passengers.
Paul with his passengers as he passed through Hilton will start the long grade down towards Fern. Dick crossing over the Big Wash Bridge with his conductor Dave as they head towards Hilton.
Skip with a happy load of passengers as he approaches Hemlock and is just minutes away from departing the station. Mike Harkleroad with the Camelback steam engine has just passed through Drudgery with his passengers.
Harry departs the station with another full load of passengers and Logan on the rear as his conductor. Don's Speidel pulls away from the station as Kenny with his steeple cab engine behind them waits to be loaded.
Roberta Uhrich standing behind Ken's train is helping to load trains and looks over Ken's train as he starts to pull away from the loading area. Bill Deptowicz giving his son John a break from running the Snoopy train smiles as he pulls away on his first run for the day.
John Deptowicz took this picture of Ted as he comes in on the back side of the station with his passengers as he nears the end of his run. Ken having just passed over the Festival Bridge takes the switch for the loop around the back side of the station.
Dick having received the "All Aboard"call departs Shriver Station with his passengers and Lois Smoley as his conductor. Having just passed through Shoe, Paul is on the crossing for the Park Access Road on the mainline as he heads towards Drudgery.
Harry at the same location with the GP38 now has Dave Hird as his conductor as he rumbles over the wooden grade crossing. Coming into the station we see Jen Zorko who has been aiding with the unloading of the trains as they come back into Shriver Station.
A smiling Valerie Bilchak and Dave Woldman go for a ride, after the Public Run has ended, with the GP38. Roberta talks with Ted Nyland as his wife Marie sits on the second car and Logan Tapolyai waits as he is going to be the motorman for this trip with the interurbans.
