9.10.06 Public Run

Chet Roberts in the steaming bay lubricating his engine prior to moving the engine down to the main line. Skip Frank is oiling the mechanism on "Lynn" as the pressure builds in the boiler.
Frank with his Pacific "Eastwind" was all smiles as the engine waited for the tender to be connected. Marcel Uhrich was putting the batteries in his Dad's boxcab.
Roy Harris, in the red, was loading the trains as Dick checks the air pressure for brakes. Dave Foster with his scratch-built electric powered speeders is ready to depart.
The view from the steaming bays with Paul Emch waiting for Roy to load his train. Frank and his engine with Lou DeLembo as conductor wait for Roy to finish loading the train.
Chet with the exhaust of his engine barely visible approaches Zip Junction. Dick and the SW1500 with his passengers at the same location deep in the woods.
Here's a sight we don't often see, Ted Nyland a trolley man on a diesel caught at High Creek. Karl Losely on the bridge at the bottom of the 3%+ grade the Hudson will have to start working to crest the hill.
Rick Nagy with the club engine rumbles across the Patty's Rock Bridge. Rex Shriver approaches just behind Rick with his trainload of passengers breaking out into the sunshine.
Chet with his trainload of passengers on the curve of Patty's Rock Bridge. Roger Harnish with his engine coasting down the grade about to assult the "hill".
Ted where we are used to seeing him, on his interurbans, just before Truss Bridge. Karl departing the station takes the switch over to the mainline for the start of this run and that's Dave Schweitzer back at the station with his yellow switcher.
R.C. Yedlicka, in chair, faithfully shows up to count riders as Rick and Linda Harris wait for Roy to load their trains. Frank and Roger at the station with Robbi Haines(with back to camera).
Marie Nyland helping at the unloading area with Edith Hacker behind her giving some infor on the remaining runs. Rick departing the station as Ted pulls up to load passengers.
Teds all loaded with passengers and starting to depart the loading area. Roy is giving instructions to the riders before Mike with his scratch-built boxcab engine and train leave the station.
Caught Jerry Bell at the station stretching his legs between runs as Robbi loads this train. Paul Emch has his train loaded to capacity and is just getting the train rolling out of the station.
Dave starting out on another run with passengers. Frank waits for Roy and Robbi to get two more passengers for a full trainload before departing.
Skip at the station with "Lynn" after unloading his passengers. Marie coaching the unloading of passengers off Jerrys' train and Linda with Rex's train to the left waiting to unload.
Dave and Roger with Roy loading and you can see the end of the line for riders. Roy giving instructions as Linda waits for the "All aboard!", that Roy will call out.
We finally figured out how to pacify Rex...he said he found it on the tracks. Dave taking one of the few last trainload of passengers for the run today and that's Edith as conductor on Dick's train.
Frank cracks the throttle on "Eastwind" with the next to last trainload of riders. Roger has the honor of taking the last trainload of passengers for the public run we ran today and look at those smiling faces.
The trains ahead of Roger are coming into the station to unload and this is some of the activity we encountered today with a public run in great weather.
Thus we have the conclusion of the run...good times were had by all that came for a ride. Thank you!
