9.15.07 Club Run

Rick Nagy with the GP38 just passing through Zip Junction with R.C.'s wife Doris Yedlicka and daughter. Joe Laskowski with his interurban and rider car on the transfer table.
Dick Clark heading for the car storage shed as George Davidson locks the turntable in position. Jake Knox, one of our newest younger members, takes the controls of Dave Foster's speeders for a trip around the track.
George with his scratch-built engine rides the yard track from the turntable. Always check your cars for the proper hookup, someone helped me unloading and I thought they connected the safety chains.....they didn't.
I found my caboose at the bottom of the grade and pushed it to a siding to clear the tracks on the Branchline. Couldn't resist taking this picture of Truss Bridge #5 as it looked so serene.
Dick is on the Branch Line and Rick is on the Mainline approaching Fern in the reverse direction running with signals. Mary Lou Schmidt and Laurel Neitling listen to Kitty Shriver as she describes her needlework.
The crew at the station enjoying hot coffee and that's Jake on the speeders running solo. Jake has found a new love in his life...large scale trains you can ride on.
Rex Shriver at Truss Bridge running with our signal system. While sitting there Jake came passing thru giving his Mom, Sue Knox, a ride on the speeders.
Alex Bruchac taking a run with Joe's interurban passes over the Lionel Bridge on the Branch Line. Scott Hewis moves Paul's train, after using the transfer tabl, to pick up more riding cars.
Ted Nyland "coasts" into the station with his passengers after a run. Paul Emch, Scott Hewis, Emmy and Wally Pausch at the station and Wally looks apprehensive about looking into that bag.
Ken Vendlinger waits for the train ahead of him to leave the station so the youngsters can enjoy their ride. Edith Hacker almost looks like she has a wheelborrow full of fire.
Ted with Arron Gluth, Gretchen Hurley, Shelby and Dana Gluth beside the station. Frank with Eastwind on the steaming bay trying to rotate the pony truck 180 degrees.
"Do you still smoke?" "Nah, no need to when you own a live steam engine". "Do you see what I mean about the smoke?"
"Doesn't clear the nasal passages like I thought it would." Actually the guys were behind the smoke. John Deptowicz brought his newly completed "Snoopy" dog house boxcab and started assembling it to run.
Snoopy and Woodstock sitting atop the roof and headlight respectively waiting patiently for the inaugural run. Jennifer Artim on seat with John, Logan Tapolyai, Nikolas, Katelyn and Lorrie Morehouse on the "Snoopy" train.
Logan really enjoying running George Metts' "Scrappy" on the track behind the station. Logan as engineer with Joshua Frank riding behind him.
Amy Deptowicz with Austin Tapolyai at the controls of the Snoopy train behind the station. Austin, Amy, Bill D. with his pride and joy, grandson Ethan.
Woodstock sits out front so he is the first to get bugs in his teeth during a run.....but that's probably what a bird would want anyway. Austin, Ethan and Amy pose for a picture with a doghouse that plays the Snooy theme song.
The guys are all standing around talking to George Woodling about his recent draft into the Army...at his age? Frank Foti gives Eastwind some TLC by blowing out the flue tubes with compressed air.
Frank checking the flue tubes to see how clean they are as he continues to blow them out. Ken Vendlinger talks with Ken Brooks as he prepares for loading his engine as Marty Pinkston watches.
The sun shining through the trees near our transfer table. Rick Nagy, Dick Clark and John Deptowicz talking before Dick moved his engine on the turntable to turn it before loading it into his truck.
