Fall Invitational Open Meet - Part II - 9/21/14

Ron Trenhaile replacing the LED bulb that he used in the small switch stand for the turnout that leads to Ted's Connection at Drudgery. Ron set up the switch with remote linkage that operates on a cam action to turn the signal light red when changing route otherwise it's a steady green.
Logan Tapolyai as engineer of the Park's engine with Judy Oscker sitting behind him and his friend Sam Imhoff at the rear of the train as they are about to leave the station. Paul Emch coming into the station with newly acquired switcher that the club bought from Tom Pappas.
We had a very light turnout for trains today so Ron and Dick Clark are spreading ballast on the eastbound mainline behind the station. Ron watches the ballast spread along side of the track as Dick slowly moves forward with the train.
The ballast car as it heads down the track heading for the switch as Ron watches. The reason they were doing this is it was pointed out we had a kink in the track on the curve.
It was discovered via the level the the outside rail on the curved track was lower than the inside rail so it needed some lifting and tamping. This is a good view to show you the kink that had developed in the track.
In reworking the track we got most of the kink taken out of it, it just needs a final tamping and a sweeping. George Metts in the background heads into the station to get a cup of coffee as Dick sitting in front of the station watches Ethan Deptowicz sprint off towards the train.
Don Speidel slows his train as he rolls into the station with Logan and guests aboard the train. A picture as they pass by the photographer before Don stops directly in front of the station. Not much activity today.
